Currently a CNRS researcher at the Bordeaux Astrophysics Laboratory (LAB), I am interested in the understanding of the physics of (extrasolar) planets and brown dwarfs.
More specifically, my research topics include:
- The dynamics of planetary atmospheres and the physics of planetary climates in extreme environments, both through modeling and observational characterization.
- The internal structure of (exo)planets and brown dwarfs, and their evolution in strong interaction with their host star.
- The dynamical and tidal evolution of planetary systems.

As part of the Ariel science advisory team, I am very glad to announce the adoption of the mission by the European Space Agency for a launch in 2029. Do not hesitate to ask me if you have any questions.

Short Vitae
- Member of the Ariel Science Advisory Team at ESA since 2015.
- Permanent CNRS researcher since October 2015.
- On Feb 2015, I received the Howard Alper prize awarded to the "most outstanding candidate in NSERC's postdoctoral fellowship competition".
- Between 2013 and 2015, I have been a Banting postdoctoral fellow and I have spent my time between the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics and the Center for Planetary Science (both at the University of Toronto, Canada).
- Between 2011 and 2013, I have been working in the planetology team led by Francois Forget at the Laboratoire de Météorologie Dynamique (Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France). I received funding from the "Domaine d'Interêt Majeur d'Île de France: Astrophysique et Condition d'Apparition de la Vie (DIM ACAV)."
- In 2011, I completed the PhD degree from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon in Astronomy and Astrophysics under the supervision of Gilles Chabrier and Isabelle Baraffe at CRAL, France.
- In 2008, I obtained a MSc degree from the École Normale Supérieure (ENS Paris) and the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris (IAP) in fundamental physics, astronomy and astrophysics.
