Pierre Gratier

I’m an Astronome-Adjoint at the Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Bordeaux. I study the physics and chemistry of the interstellar medium and star formation in the Milky Way and Local Group galaxies.
- Research topics:
Interstellar medium
Galaxies
Radioastronomy
Astrochemistry
Astrostatistics
- Teaching:
I teach Bachelor level physics at the University of Bordeaux
I'm part of the organizing team for the Master2 observation camp happening every year at the Pic du Midi
- Duties:
I dedicate 30% of my time to maintaining and working on the evolution of the KIDA database. This database stores kinetic rates and surface properties (desorption energies, diffusion barriers, etc.) of interrest for the astrochemistry of the interstellar medium and (exo)planetary atmospheres.
I'm the main editor of the Astrochemical Newletter, serving 20 abstracts monthly to more than 570 astrochemists around the world
I maintain the Insterstellar Abundance Database
