My research work is based on three complementary research themes:
(1) The modelling of stellar evolution and of the hydrodynamic processes occurring in stellar interiors, constrained by different types of observations, as well as the modelling of their theoretical oscillation spectra ;
(2) The interpretation of different types of observations and their uncertainties ;
(3) The modelling of the evolution of the properties of stellar populations in the Galaxy, and more particularly of the chemical and dynamical evolution of the Galaxy. In addition, my models of stellar and galactic evolution are useful in other areas of astrophysics, such as the study of planetary formation.
I am a developer of the Besançon population synthesis Model of the Galaxy and of the stellar evolution code STAREVOL
All these theoretical developments are strongly connected with observational projects on European and American facilities.
